The startup school, Wonder, that my friend Spencer works at asked me to come in and be an “investor” for the students’ businesses. Through the past few weeks the kids had been developing out products that they can sell on Etsy. They ranged from board games to candles but all were extremely creative. It was really amazing to see these 6 - 11 year olds give a few minute pitch to “investors” for “wonder-bucks” or startup capital. The fact that this school is giving these kids this kind of experience at this young of age was mind blowing. It was super cool to be apart of.
Women in Tech Event - February 8th
I started helping plan a “Women in Tech” event today. It’ll be a TED Talk style event where women from the midwest that are in different stages of their career come and speak about their unique experiences and expertise. The event will take place on May 2nd.
Virtual Reality Course Completed
After about 6 months of taking an online course in virtual reality development, I have finally completed it. Some of the projects were a tough learning curve but I’m excited to know it and be able to work on my own independent projects.






President's Innovation Award and Bright Future Award: January 22
I was honored to be awarded the Innovation Award from Wichita State University. Luckily Ryan Becker, my cofounder from Cyfive also received one and so did the whole Master’s of Innovation Design degree.





Running the Energy Summit Design Thinking Sessions: January 17th
Wichita State came to our cohort and asked us to host a design thinking sessions too ideate around ways to become more green and energy efficient.




Consumer Electronic Show: January 6th - 10th
A few people from my Masters of Innovation Design cohort and I went to CES. We saw a lot of robots, car tech and AR glasses. We also got to visit the friends from Byton the car company that we met last year at TechCrunch Disrupt
2019 Log of Stuff
Starting here in 2019 I’m going to try to keep a log of the projects and other cool stuff I get to work on. It’s mainly because I’m terrible and remembering the projects from the past year and therefor can’t recite them when someone is interested.
